How national income divides between labour and capital, computed live in your browser from the BEA accounts. Non-financial corporate v / nva is the narrow, unambiguous measure. Whole-economy labour share is wider but has to allocate proprietors' income — a self-employed person's mixed return to their own labour and their own capital, which the accounts cannot split. Three conventions bracket the answer; toggle them to see how much the choice moves the story.
NFC: v / nva · whole economy: CE/NI (all→capital) · (CE+PI)/NI (all→labour) · CE/(NI−PI) (proportional, Gollin)
